How are volunteer programs going to shift gears from the traditional model to the new reality in a pro-active and creative way?
Volunteerism and managing volunteer programs are changing both dramatically and rapidly. Leaders of volunteers need to get ahead of the curve and learn to leverage opportunities while minimizing risks.
We will discuss how leaders need to look at best practices through the volunteer management cycle using a variety of lenses and strategically plan for the future while managing the present. We will talk about the “new normal” and how we need to part of the decision team.

Lori Gotlieb Bio:
Lori Gotlieb is the President of Lori Gotlieb Consulting as well as co-developer and faculty member of The Business School at Humber College teaching the Volunteer Management Leadership Certificate.
She is a volunteer management leadership expert who provides a unique concierge service to her clients as well as an internationally published author and workshop facilitator who has taught workshops to many diverse audiences, including Boards and Committees, Associations and Nonprofit organizations across North America.
Lori is a contributing author the Volunteer Management Handbook, 2nd Edition as well as having numerous articles published in both print and online.
Lori was a recipient of the Linda Buchanan Award for Excellence in Volunteer Management in 2012.
Lori is a Board Member and content reviewer for the International Journal of Volunteer Administration, past president of the Toronto Association of Volunteer Administration, mentor for the Provincial Association of Volunteer Administrators in Ontario.
Lori continues to push the boundaries of traditional volunteer management through her writing and teaching.
