NEW! CVA Study Group Volunteer Opportunities
PAVRO and Volunteer Toronto have partnered to offer CVA Study Groups for those preparing to write the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration (CCVA) examination to receive their Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA) designation. The CVA Study Group offers participants on-line learning modules, live discussions, and an online forum to discuss and explore themes and questions with peers.
We are seeking PAVRO members for the following roles:
Forum Moderators: 2 Positions
Forum Moderators monitor the online CVA Study Group discussion forum to respond to queries, direct questions to the most appropriate resource, and ensure that forum users adhere to the Forum Guidelines. Forum Moderators can expect to contribute up to 2 hours per week monitoring the forum for the full Study Group session of February 1 - March 31, 2023. Attendance at mandatory Moderator Training on Wednesday January 18, 2023 at 12:00pm via ZOOM required. Moderators can earn 2 PDUs toward certification/re-certification. Discussion Leaders: 4 Positions
Discussion Leaders lead one 1-hour live discussion session (via ZOOM) as part of the Winter 2023 CVA Study Group program. Candidates must be CVA-certified, PAVRO members in good standing with a minimum of 5-years of experience as a volunteer engagement professional. Discussion Leaders can expect to spend up to 4-hours to prepare for and facilitate a live discussion session plus be available to respond to questions/queries posted by participants in the online forum following session. Webinar Committee Members: Professional development and networking opportunities are key to building strong, resilient, connected volunteer engagement professionals in Ontario. Webinar Committee members, working under the guidance of the Membership Service Co-Chair, are responsible for developing and delivering webinars to PAVRO members. Team members work together to: choose educational topics, source presenters, prepare session descriptions, and moderate webinars. The Webinar Committee strives to provide a minimum of six (6) educational webinars each calendar year. For more information, read here.
Mentorship Committee: (2 to 3 Positions Available): To foster the contribution and sharing of expertise, insights and learning from experienced volunteer management professionals across Ontario. Committee members will assist with the new pilot program for providing mentorship and sharing amongst peers called Mentorship Moments held the 2nd Monday of each month, in the afternoon.
