As the outgoing President, it was my honour to award Aleks Vasic with the President's Award this year. Award criteria is quite broad, seeking to highlight a person/persons who support, encourage and improve the experience of our members and the organization, and in her role as Vice President for the PAVRO Board Aleks has truly been a leader focused on improving the member experience. She jumped in to participate in the newly formed Finance Committee and did extra research to better understand financial reporting; contract language plus was a critical partner in the budget planning process. Our 2019 Synergize conference required a PAVRO Board representative and it was Aleks who jumped straight in to support the committee to develop a top-notch conference for all our partners. As well, she was an excellent sounding board for me on Board activities, meeting planning and needs, always creative ideas and a can-do spirit that is truly inspiring. I am so grateful for a leader like Aleks and was proud to present the President's Award to her. ~Helena Finn-Vickers
