1. Does my membership belong to me or to the organization I work for?
The membership belongs to the individual. As an Individual member, the membership is yours and goes with you if you leave your place of employment.
If you are an organizational member, the membership belongs to the company. If an employee leaves, the organization may replace the name of the designated staff person contact.
2. Does my membership stay with me if I switch organizations?
If you are in one of the individual membership categories the membership goes with you if you switch organizations.
3. How long does my membership last?
Your membership is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase or renewal. Memberships are accepted year round.
4. What is an AVA?
An AVA’s are local associations for volunteer engagement professionals. PAVRO offers a small discount on membership when you are also a member of your local AVA. Please see list of current AVAs.

NOTE: In 2020, the Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada (VMPC) modified how PAVRO members can access a discounted membership. PAVRO members in good standing can apply for an Affiliate Membership with VMPC on their website.
