How to use your website to spark {digital} change and innovation in your non-profit with Temi Adewumi

This interactive session will explore how non-profit websites can be used as a tool to drive innovation in your organization.

When we look at now defunct companies like Blockbuster, Sears, or Blacks, we think of them as examples of companies that were unable to innovate and adapt to digital change. We shake our heads and declare that we’ll be different. But it’s not that easy.

Creating digital change goes beyond just selecting the right technology.

It requires thinking about people first, and then, finding technology to meet their needs. It requires being strategic about how technology can fit into your overall goals. It requires putting the right structure and processes in place for innovation to occur.

Given the enormity of the task, non-profits can often become overwhelmed by the amount of effort and money that becoming a fully digital operation will require.

The solution? Start with your organization’s website.

By making small, consistent improvements to your website, your non-profit can start to adopt new technology, create new processes, test new ideas, change attitudes towards technology and obtain support from leadership.

We’ll discuss:

-Tactics to obtain buy-in from leadership for improving your organization’s digital processes.

-Strategies to demonstrate how your organization’s website can serve as a testing ground for digital adoption within your non-profit

-How other non-profit websites are improving their membership, donation and content processes.

-How non techie staff and volunteers can add website improvement tasks to their regular routine.

This session will be catered to participants’ needs. What challenges are you facing with your website? Complete the 5 minute survey here.
