It is with much delight that the PAVRO Conference Committee announces that PAVRO's 2020 Conference, Creating Connections, will be delivered online in October 2020. PAVRO has secured Mary Bean, Senior Director, Culture and Leadership at Learn2 to provide an exciting and interactive learning experience for participants.

In light of continued physical distancing requirements and the uncertainties around how public gatherings might work in the various provinces and communities, PAVRO and Learn2 are preparing to deliver two (2) half days sessions on October 1 and October 8. Each morning session will be approximately 3 hours in length. The sessions will be as interactive as possible and will include small group discussions and individual reflection as we explore the theme of Creating Connections. Conference Pricing: Fees cover two (2) half days sessions on October 1st and October 8th.

Early Bird - Non-member: $119 + HST

Group Registration Fee: $265 + HST

September 12th to September 24th, 2020

Regular Fee - PAVRO Member: $119 + HST

Creating Connections Day 1 Thursday, October 1st, 2020
Communicate Naturally and Get Connected!
Building meaningful relationships and creating strong connections are the cornerstone to great volunteer engagement. Effective communication is at the centre of both. In this opening session we will explore our natural communication approaches, learn more about others and find ways to quickly adapt our behaviour to connect effectively with others!
This interactive session will begin more than a week BEFORE Day 1 of conference and the impact will last long after conference wraps up – you will be DOING as you learn and LEARN as you are doing!
Through Communicating Naturally participants Learn2

Realize that communication difficulties are primarily about different preferences.
Understand and value the contributions of others
Earn trust and confidence
Present, listen and receive information in a manner that is natural for each person.
Appreciate the connection between people’s communication preference and work style.

Communicate Naturally is an engaging and memorable program that creates the optimal conditions for learning – immersion, teamwork and fun – and inspires lasting results.

Creating Connections Day 2 Thursday, October 8th, 2020
As always, the PAVRO LiVE conference has a pulse on the important information you need to enhance your skills, education and career. 2020 has been quite a different year so far and we expect that to continue for several months! Since we just can’t predict what the most important information will be at the time, we are letting YOU choose – Throughout Day 1 we will be listening to your questions and comments and as the day wraps up we will ASK YOU what you want to walk away with on Day 2…we will then build it and design it that week!! We will continue to focus on connection and relationship development with maximum interaction and participant focused conversations – all virtual, all impactful, all in!!
Pulling it all together – That’s a Wrap!
What better way to leave a Conference than with a plan, an expanded network and a renewed connection to your work and each other! In this final session of Day 2 we will focus on what we have learned, make new commitments to ourselves (and each other) and use our new connections to bridge the gap to a new future for ourselves and our work!
As we say goodbye to our virtual conference, we will make plans to connect with each other in new ways and prepare to approach our work differently - with a renewed purpose, plan and pathway to success. We will truly be “Creating Connections".
